Ever wondered why some people can shoot someone at the other side of the map, without zooming in with their sniper rifle? Well, there’s a trick or two. Choose one (or more) of the tricks that fit you best and try to master it. Good Luck! Why a no scope trick:
No Scoping is firing a shot with a sniper rifle without using your scope. In some games your bullet will just go straight to the place you’re aiming, so there’s no trick needed to no scope. But in CoD4 your bullet doesn’t go straight towards the place you’re aiming. It will just fly in a random direction. In this way you could call no scoping ‘luck’. But no scoping doesn’t have to be luck. Because there is a way to avoid the fact that your bullet will fly in a random direction. Here are some tricks for avoiding the ‘random flying bullet’:
The G-Shot:
For this shot you want to move around. Moving around causes your crosshairs to get bigger. Almost all no scope tricks have to do with your crosshairs. When you stop moving you want to have your enemy in your crosshairs. Than wait for the crosshairs to close (don’t go to the toilet or do other things because the waiting doesn’t take that long, it will take less than a second). At the moment your crosshairs close you should fire. Or just a little bit sooner.
Switch Shot:
Again get your enemy in your crosshairs. Change weapons twice and quickly (triangle on the PS3). This causes your crosshairs to get bigger. When they get together again you should shoot.
Knife Shot:
Just knife one time, this causes you crosshairs to get bigger, than when they get smaller again you should shoot.
You can of course do a lot more things to get your crosshairs bigger for a moment. Just remember you should shoot when they get smaller again.
Here are some more tricks, but for these tricks you don’t need to pay so much attention to the opening and closing of your crosshairs.
Drag Shot:
With this trick you should ‘drag’ your crosshairs over your enemy, and when your crosshairs are on your enemy you should shoot.
Advanced Drag Shot:
Some people just call this a 360. You jump (sometimes off a boulding) and make a full turn and then shoot. By making this full turn you ‘drag’ your crosshairs over your enemy, making it a no scope trick. But note that this trick is quite difficult.
Strafe Shot:
This is my personal favorite. You shoot at your enemy, and almost the same time as you shoot you move in any direction. You could move in any direction or you could look in any direction. You can also jump instead of these (so shoot and jump at almost the same time).
Jump Shot: You jump and just before you hit the ground you shoot at the enemy (it’s that easy).
Off course there are many more ways to no scope. (Like pressing zooming in for a second which causes your crosshairs to get bigger, and when your crosshairs get back agains you should shoot.) I gave you some basic ones. Hope you can use it in a fight.
Some things to consider while no scoping:
* An acog scope on a sniper does more damage. This means that you’ll see the juggernaut sign less often. But there is one thing about this. I don’t know if this bug is on the xbob360 or pc too, but on the PS3 it is; if you zoom in with an acog scope on a sniper rifle and fire at someone, you’ll sometimes notice that your bullet goes through someone without him getting damage. Because of this I stopped using an acog scope on my sniper.
* This is very important: use the steady aim perk!! Without this perk some of the no scope tricks have no effect at all.
* The trick with the crosshairs is all about right timing. Try it out with a friend and just don’t move and try to hit each other. This is good for practising.
* The M40A3 is considered as the best sniper to no scope with. But the other snipers are also good to no scope with.
Fun Trick to do:
While planting the bomb in search and destroy, you can hold the button with which you would normally trow a C4 (L1 on the PS3). This results in you planting a C4 which is undestroyable. But you can’t let it go off, it’s just to irritate others who try to shoot your C4. You don’t need to have the C4 perk to do this.
